How to check if my device is locked to a carrier/ mobile operator?
Note: Some carriers may not unlock a new phone within the first six months.
Some devices allow you to check Carrier lock by checking the settings menu and some don't. In order to check if your device is compatible with any SIMs/ eSIMs, sometimes you may need to simply try a different SIM.
In cases where the device shows it in the menu (e.g. IoS devices), you will find it here:
- Go to: Settings → General → About → scroll to Carrier Lock / Network Provider Lock
- If it shows a carrier name, your phone is locked.
In order to unlock your devices, you will need to contact your carrier.
If your device has No SIM restrictions, a ConnectedYou eSIM will work on your device.
