Frequently asked questions

Do I need to submit my passport or visa (KYC)?

No! When buying a ConnectedYou eSIM, you do not need to submit physical passport copies, visa files, or complete any KYC identity checks. Unlike standard local physical SIM cards, which can require lengthy verification, our pre-registered roaming eSIM connects instantly with zero paperwork.

Can I reuse my eSIM?

In many cases, you can top up your eSIM — you don’t need to buy a new eSIM to stay connected. When available, you’ll find top-up packages for your eSIM before and after purchase.

Can I keep using my original WhatsApp number?

Yes, absolutely! Your WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, iMessage, and other applications will continue to work perfectly with your original phone number. Our eSIM is strictly for high-speed data connectivity, so your personal messaging apps are completely unaffected.

Is personal hotspot / data tethering allowed?

Yes! Personal hotspot and data tethering is 100% supported on all our eSIM plans. You can share your ultra-fast 5G/4G data with your laptop, tablet, or family members’ phones without any extra restrictions or surcharges.
